Michigan requires us to get the following information from any person donating $100 or more:

(3) A person shall not receive a contribution from a person other than a committee unless, for purposes of the recipient person's record keeping and reporting requirements, the contribution is accompanied by the name and address of each person who contributed to the total amount of the contribution and the name, address, occupation, employer, and principal place of business of each person who contributed more than $100.00 to the total amount of the contribution.

If I was independently wealthy and the Republicans were indeed the party of the rich, I could finance my own campaign with contributions from a few generous donors; but alas I'm not independently wealthy and those who make up our Party hardly have many discretionary funds available.

Aside from direct monetary contributions to the campaign, we would appreciate it if our supporters forwarded our emails, helped disseminate yard signs and bumper stickers, talk with relatives, friends and neighbors about our campaign and arrange periodic meet and greet fundraisers.
